About Dr. Gordon Niles

Dr. Gordon Niles has provided orthodontic care to Livingston County area residents since 1976. He earned his undergraduate degree at Western Michigan University and his dental degree at the University of Michigan. Postgraduate residencies and a Masters
Degree at the University of Michigan allowed him to develop greater expertise in orthodontic treatment. Dr. Niles regularly attends courses focusing on orthodontics, orthognathic surgery, implants and Invisalign, so that the most current treatment options are available to his patients. This allows Dr. Niles to offer his patients the finest orthodontic, dentofacial orthopedic and Invisalign care.

Dr. Niles is a member of the Livingston District Dental Society, the Michigan Society of Orthodontists, The American Association of Orthodontists, as well as the American Dental Society. Dr. Niles is certified by the Michigan State Board of Dentistry in the Specialty of Orthodontics. Dr. Niles resides in Brighton with his wife, Sandi. They have three grown children.

Dr. Niles strongly believes in giving back to the community, and sponsors local school athletic programs, school PTO’s and events, numerous performing arts venues, Gleaner’s food bank, and local events such as Brighton Holiday Glow, and Brighton Optimist Club’s annual Fishing Derby. Dr. Niles is a contributor to local foundations such as the Arc of Livingston and the Women’s Resource Center. Dr. Niles is also a member of the Greater Brighton Area Chamber of Commerce.

Dr. Niles financially supports the VINA dental clinic as a charter donor and with his time and has treated children through VINA previously. He also participates in a referral program for children with orthodontic needs whose families cannot afford treatment.


Dr. Niles spends his leisure time enjoying golf, water sports and attending various sporting events with his wife, sons and daughter.
